Japanese food and Turkish food (Lunch Presentation Meeting Series #044)

For the first time in this series, we had the privilege to listen to a presentation on Turkey by an international exchange student, Ms. Pembegul Kabak...
This was followed by a presentation on Japanese food by Kentaro Hatanaka... I enjoyed listening to both the presentations... Turkish food seems to look so delicious...
Thirty seven students attended this session.
Of these, eight were international students, while Japanese students made up the rest of the audience.
Incidentally, Ivy Liwa from the Philippines celebrated his birthday on this day... omedetou!
And he made a tasty snack for the participants to enjoy...
I was lucky to have one and it was delicious...
Next Monday, 2nd June, we shall have our Coffee Time event in the newest facility in our campus, called 'Olive Square'...
At that time, the newspaper company, Shikoku Shinbum, shall come to take some pictures, which will be featured in an article in the paper in June...
See you all at Olive Square next Monday...
and don't forget to bring your smile! (Lrong)

'Lao Food' and 'Ozoni' dish of Kagawa (Lunch Presentation Meeting Series #040)

For the 40th presentation, Ammala Chanthamaly talked about Lao food while Chisato Ota presented on the new year dish of Kagawa, called 'Ozoni'. I was occupied with another event, and was absent from this presentation, and unfortunately had not requested my colleagues to take some photos on my behalf. So, I am using or rather, recycling some photos from another event (Coffee Time) to fill the space. My apologies to the two presenters...  :-)
Anyway, twenty one students came to listen to the presentation, out of which, fifteen were international students. (Lrong)

The beauty of the Philippines, On Japanese Idioms (Series # 039)

Ivy Santiago Liwa from the Philippines made a presentation on the Philippines while Fumi Osaka, a freshman from the Education Faculty presented on some interesting Japanese idioms. Ivy covered various aspects of the Philippines, ranging from traditional clothes, religion, food, climate, etc. Fumi made a very good effort to present in English and I commend her for that. There were nine international students and five Japanese students attending the presentation. Thank you to the both of them for their presentation.
