Home Visit Program 2015, First Session

With the cooperation from the IPAL Kagawa, we conducted the First Session of the Home Visit Program for international students...
This program aims to offer international students an opportunity to get to know some Japanese families and learn about the culture and the way the Japanese people go about in their daily lives...
On this particularly day, we arranged a 'face to face' session between international students and their host families to discuss among themselves, the specifics of the Home Visit...
More precisely, they were to discuss and agree among themselves, on when and where to meet... and after which, what they are going to do after they met...
They can agree to meet for a movie, for a cup of tea, or they can choose to meet at the Port of Takamatsu to watch the ferries or to witness the sun going down the horizon...
I believe this is the third year we are doing it, and we conduct two sessions in a year...

This class took off in 2012, and in 2015, we shall be doing it for the fourth time...
We are bringing 6 students with us for the program which will last two weeks...
I hope the students had a fruitful time, learning from their seniors who went last year on what to expect when they go this coming August...

Coffee Time on First of June 2015...

Kagawa University is honored to play host to a group of students from Colorado State University. The Faculty of Education, in conjunction with the International Student Center, is conducting the program for these students. Anyway, on this day, I believe our students and their new friends from CSU had a fun time mingling with one another over coffee...

Study trip to Shodoshima

Kagawa University organized a study trip to Shodoshima for international students. The weather started off very nicely, and the ride on the ferry was pleasant. We toured Kankakei Gorge, Marukin Soy Sauce Factory, Olive Park, and Angel Road (which was not on the original schedule). I believe the students had a good time, learning about Japan on-site, instead of in the classrooms.  We were 73 people, riding on two buses.
