みんなで楽しむ国際交流　直島ミニツアー

かがわのわ！せかいのわ！２０１２

　

身近な地域の魅力の再発見と在県の外国人青年との交流を楽しむ「国際交流ミニツアー」を企画しました。今回は、瀬戸内芸術祭でも人気の高かった「ベネッセアートサイト直島」を訪れます。世界的に知られてきた美術館を巡り、瀬戸の海の冬景色を楽しみます。

日　　　時：２０１２年２月２５日（土）９：５０～１８：００

内　　　容：ベネッセアートサイト直島のアート鑑賞、会員間や在県外国青年との懇親

参 加　費：基本的に下記の必要経費を参考に、その都度、御自身でお支払いください。

定　　　員：２０名程度

※食事は、美術館内レストラン等は軽食です。宮浦港近く（徒歩１０分内）に、山本うどん店等あります。

　持参、或いは軽食にするか、ご都合に合わせて計画ください。

※寒い季節ですので、防寒には十分配慮ください。

１７：００　直島（宮浦港）発（運賃　フェリー代金　大人５１０円　小人２６０円）

１８：００　高松港着

　　アート施設を鑑賞するモデルコース　　入館料は、地中美術館２０００円、その他１０００円（１５歳以下無料）直島銭湯「Ｉ♡湯」は５００円（１５歳以下２００円）

お元気ですか。

徳橋君から原稿や写真を12月24日にもらいましたが、私は出張から帰って着たばかりの日でもあり、直ちに掲載することができなくて、済みませんでした。

という訳で、これから、OBOGの皆さんに原稿や写真をお願いしますよ～

ICES　OBの徳橋です。

ICES　DAYから早３か月が経過しようとしています。

クリスマスももうすぐですね。会の終了後ジャンケンの末、勝ち取った！？OB＆OGからの執筆第一号！！Irong先生からの執筆依頼もあり、「ICESと私」というテーマで展開していきたいと思います。

みなさん、それぞれICESに入った理由は、何かしらお持ちでしょうが、私とICESを結びつけたものは、ICESの「C」です。

当時は講堂で新歓祭のサークル紹介が行われており、その紹介で「culture」の発音の良さに心をときめかされ、いつの間にか、ICESに入っていました。入ってわかったことですが、その「culture」は部長ゆっちが発音したものでした。

本当に発音が素晴らしかったんです！！人とのつながりって、案外ちょっとしたところから始まるもんですよ。もちろん、時間のある学生時代に海外に出たかったこともあります。

いまでは、異文化に触れた経験がものの見方や考えかたを柔軟にし、新しい発想のヒントになっています。

それ以上に、日本だけでなく海外に親友ができたこと、これもICESと私を結びつけている「culture」です。

現役生は、クリスマスパーティ楽しんでくださいね。

Food Culture Of Each Region Of Japan (Lunch Presentation Meeting Series #22)

Hotaru Ikehira, a freshman at the Faculty of Law, gave a presentation on the food culture of Japan. 

She separated the presentation into different regions of Japan...

The moderator was Marcus Khoo..

There were 13 people in the audience, including five international students.

“MAINZ am Rhein” (Lunch Presentation Meeting Series #21)

Today, we had a presentation from WOEBER Jonas (Johnny), an exchange student from Germany. 

He talked about the city of Mainz, an old city situated be the River Rhein.
 

He highlighted the city is famous for being the place where the printing press was invented. 

The city is also well known for the Johannes Gutenberg University and the Mainz Cathedral.

According to Johnny, the people of Mainz like to enjoy going to clubs and parties.

There were 16 people in the audience, of which 7 were international students.

The Symbols of Kojima, Okayama (Lunch Presentation Meeting Series #20)

Hayato Morimoto, a freshman from the Agriculture Faculty, made a presentation on his hometown, Kojima.

He did a very commendable job presenting in English, focusing on the main symbols of Kojima such as the marine products and the manufacture of jeans.

There were 14 people in the audience, with international students making up half of it. Wan Bunna was the moderator.

Mad about Malaysia (Lunch Presentation Meeting Series #19)

Marcus Khoo, an international student from Malaysia who is enrolled at Kagawa University under the Teacher Training Program, gave a presentation on Malaysia.

Marcus focused on the food of Malaysia and introduced five popular dishes.

There were 19 people in the audience including 8 international students.

Local culinary specialties in Kagawa (Series #18)

Ai Matsumoto, a sophomore at the Faculty of Economics, introduced three dishes that are unique to the Kagawa area. 

The dishes are Mamba no kenchan, Shipoku udon, and ozoni. 

Mamba no kenchan is a vegetable dish made from a mustard green that is widely grown in this locality. 

Shipoku udon is a winter season noodle dish that consists of many varieties of vegetables and chicken. 

And ozoni is a specialty that is normally eaten during the new year season. 

There were 17 people in the audience, including 8 international students. 

Korea, from the eyes of a Korean (Series #17)

The Lunch Presentation Meeting for the second semester in 2011 started off with a presentation by a graduate student from Korea...

He introduced the participants to some parts of Seoul as seen by a Korean like himself...

There were 16 participants today... 6 of which were international students...

Among the questions were the distance between the sub-cities within the metropolis of Seoul... 

Some students also asked about the reason why he came to Japan and what he plans to do after he graduates...
