Japanese sub-culture (Lunch Presentation Meeting Series #013)

Soma Kawaguchi from the Faculty of Agriculture gave an interesting talk on Japanese sub-culture focusing on Japanese anime.
He presented almost thoroughly in English, holding the audience in attention...

The moderator this time was a student from Korea, Cho Sang-Chan, a sophomore at the Faculty of Economics...
There were 43 people in the audience, the largest so far...
Out of this, 17 were international students... among them were 12 students from  Fu Jen Catholic University, Aletheia University (Taiwan) and Korea Maritime University who just arrived to attend our two-week Japanese Language and Culture Program...

Soma asked the audience to identity three sets of anime...
While one participant got the first one right, none in the audience could do so for all three anime...

When asked why he chose this topic, he said that he likes anime and that he wanted to present something different from the others who mainly talked about their hometowns...

All in all, the talk was interesting and well attended...
