This program is conducted under the umbrella organization called 香川県留学生等国際交流連絡協議会 (my translation: Kagawa Prefecture Liaison Council for International Student Affairs). The Liaison Office has about 50 organizations as members. These organizations are either educational institutions like Kagawa University, prefectural or city offices, business enterprises, or grass-root organizations. The common thread cutting across these organizations is their link with international students.
For this event, Kagawa University International Office is coordinating with the Kagawa Prefectural Office. We handle the application and documentation for the international side, while the Kagawa Prefectural Office liaise with the host families. I think this is the fourth year we are conducting the program, and each time, we have had a sizable number of international students and host families coming together. We hope both parties will connect well with each other, and establish a long lasting relationship together. (Lrong)
The purpose of this blog is to provide a platform to record and share the activities associated with the international students of Kagawa University.

Guidance for Kagawa Prefecture Home Visit Program
For the past few years, we have been conducting the 'Kagawa Prefecture Home Visit Program'. This program comes under what I would translate as 'Kagawa Prefecture Liaison Council for International Student Affairs', which is a loosely organized committee made up of discreet organizations with an interest in international student matters.
On this day, we conducted the guidance for the home visit program for a bunch of international students from various institutes of higher learning in Kagawa. The next step shall be the meeting of these students with their host families.

Home Visit Program 2015, First Session
With the cooperation from the IPAL Kagawa, we conducted the First Session of the Home Visit Program for international students...
This program aims to offer international students an opportunity to get to know some Japanese families and learn about the culture and the way the Japanese people go about in their daily lives...
On this particularly day, we arranged a 'face to face' session between international students and their host families to discuss among themselves, the specifics of the Home Visit...
More precisely, they were to discuss and agree among themselves, on when and where to meet... and after which, what they are going to do after they met...
They can agree to meet for a movie, for a cup of tea, or they can choose to meet at the Port of Takamatsu to watch the ferries or to witness the sun going down the horizon...
I believe this is the third year we are doing it, and we conduct two sessions in a year...
