Laos Ministry of Education officials attended program at Kagawa University

Through the kind cooperation and support of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the International Office of Kagawa University was honored to host a group of officials from the Laos Ministry of Education. The program was for two weeks. The purpose was to study about how to administer the system of primary education in Japan.

Lunch Presentation Meeting - Free format (Series #054)

For the 54th session in the Lunch Presentation Series, the students wanted to try out doing it in another format. Thirteen international students and fourteen Japanese students attended this session. In the first half of the session, they organized themselves into five groups and discussed what they liked and disliked about Japan. In the later part of the session, one representative from each group presented a summary of what they discussed. One of the aims of this format is to encourage inter-changes of viewpoints in small groups. I think the session went pretty well, and the objective largely achieved.

Talk on old houses of Japan, and Costa Rica (Lunch Presentation Meeting Series #053)

For the 53rd time in the Lunch Presentation Meeting Series, Jorge gave a presentation titled 'Tan linda Costa Rica' while Tomoka Omori talked about 'Old houses of Japan'. This is the first LP Meeting for the Spring of 2015, and 12 international students along with 13 Japanese students came by to attend. (Lrong)

On Udon and Brunei (Lunch Presentation Meeting Series #052)

On this occasion, Shimizu-kun talked about udon and introduced to the audience some of his favorite udon shops in Takamatsu. Meanwhile, Sanada-kun presented on his country, Brunei Darussalam. This meeting shall be the final session for the 2014 academic year. We shall re-commence in April... (Lrong)

This time, we had the privilege to listen to Paulina Sługocka presenting on Poland, and Suzuki-kun on Japanese martial arts... Paulina even furnished some sweets from Poland for the audience to try... (Lrong)

On ‘Saga' and ‘Shiranai México’ (Lunch Presentation Meeting Series #050)

Today, we are happy to celebrate the 50th Lunch Presentation Meeting...
First, Tadashi Moronaga from the Law Faculty gave an interesting 

presentation on his hometown, Saga Prefecture.
The fish that is found in Ariake Sea is unique and supposedly 'frightening' to look at.
The second speaker was Antonio Fermin from Mexico. 

Speaking in both Japanese and English, he had the full attention of the audience with his colorful rendition of Mexico, focusing on areas that is not very well known among non-Mexicans. 

For the first time ever in this series, the audience had the privilege to taste some tidbits from a presenter. Antonio had brought the tidbits all the way from Mexico.

‘Germany at a glance’ and ‘About Himeji’ (Lunch Presentation Meeting Series #049)

For the 49th Meeting, Clinton Uzomahm gave us an interesting session on Germany, while Mai Fujiwara focused on Himeji. On this day, there were over 20 people in the audience.

'Japanese public holidays' and 'About Brazil' (Lunch Presentation Meeting Series #048)

For the 48th Meeting, Yukiko Mito presented on Japanese public holidays, while Watanabe Marcelo Takahico introduced his country, Brazil.
There were over 20 people in the audience.
